Comic Con New York 2009 | |
Comic Con 09, New York Comic Con was a total blast. I had way too much fun, and Tim and I did way too much shopping. Okay, it was probably a good idea that I was jumping most of the time, because I would have been shopping, too. As it was, I did get a look at the floor, and because I'm a fangirl, the picture I'm posting here is the one of me and Dr. Who. (grin) Yeah, he's just a cut out, but dude, it was the Doctor
Not only was it time for Comic Con, but I had a day at Harper/Eos, too. They brought a bunch of us in to get some video for the upcoming anthology due out in September 09, titled Unbound. This is me and most of the authors. From left to right, Vicki Pettersson, Me, Jeaniene Frost, Diana, our editor, and Jocelynn Drake. Not pictured but in the anthology is Melissa Marr. My first event at Comic Con 09 was the signing. This first picture is there because it shows an interesting view of how they line us up. It appealed to my camera-eye. If you've never been to a big con like this, it's an experience.
And we had some White Witch, Black Curse T's!!! The first picture is of a reader who came all the way from Texas. And Mrs. J. ;-) It was great seeing you both there!
This reader had such a quiet enthusiasm, I had to post our picture. He really appreciated my work, and I was delighted to make his acquaintance.
I went to Vicki Pettersson's signing, and I and Jackie Kessler scared the crap out of her when we did the fan-girl squeal. Sorry, Vicki. (grin) If it helps, I got Jocelynn and Rachel Vincent at RT. She's smiling here, so I think she forgave me. Pictured here at a signing, is Vicki Pettersson, Me, Jocelynn Drake, and our editor, Diana Gill.
The lighting wasn't good for many of the panels, but here's a general shot of how it works. This was my first panel on Sunday, Writers on Writing Books, Comic, TV, Movies, and games.
